Where are your servers located?
Our servers are located at Dallas in Texas, USA. The Planet (www.theplanet.com) is one of the leading IDC (Internet Data Centre) in the US and has offices and operations spread across the world.
How secure is my website on your servers?
Our servers are monitored 24x7 for any unusual activity and immediate steps are taken to overcome any outside threat on our servers. We also have port monitoring and intrusion detection software installed on our servers which play a proactive role in throttling unauthorized access. Besides the above,
the software installed on our servers are a legal copy which is patched and updated as soon as any update is available. We also take weekly backups of all relevant data on our servers and copy them on our tape drives and swap the data between our servers for additional redundancy.
What is the connectivity and uptime of your servers?
Our servers are connected on a 2 Gbps (OC-48) connectivity to the Internet with additional redundancy provided by our ISP. We are currently using a fraction of the available bandwidth which ensures very high availability of our servers and quick response. We have been able to maintain an uptime of over 99.6% for the past two years of our operations.
What
level of technical support will be provided to us?
We provide UNLIMITED web hosting support to our customers. All support requests are attended within a couple of hours and definitely within the same day. We also have proficient programmers and developers who can help you in your web development requirements as well.
What are the domain extensions which can be booked through you?
We are currently registering all International TLD's
(.com/net/org/biz/info/us/name, etc.). We also register India specific extensions (.co.in, .in, etc.) and some other country specific extensions.
What are the payment options available?
For clients outside India, we accept payment by Cheques/DD's. Payment schedule for our hosting services can be made on a monthly or yearly basis. For clients within India, we accept payments by Cheques/DD's. All payments for our hosting services are to be
made annually in advance.
Can I upgrade the hosting for my website by paying the difference?
Yes, if you decide to upgrade your hosting services, you need to only
pay the upgrade charges or if you have opted for our monthly hosting services, we will charge you
on the basis of the new plan from the next month onwards.
How long does it take to setup a new account?
We can setup your account within 24 hours of sign up. Your login/password and other relevant details would be emailed to you.
Can I transfer my existing domain to
Catchcal.net?
Yes. We can transfer your domain to our servers and host your domain on our servers. Please get in touch with us for more relevant details on the same.
Will the allotted amount of data transfer per month be enough for my website?
The allotted dataflow per month serves the requirement of 99% of our clients who do not overshoot this quota. If your site is using more bandwidth than allotted, we can either charge you for the same on a monthly basis or suggest that you upgrade your account to a higher hosting plan which has a larger amount of dataflow and other additional features and services.
